Claire B. Seekins Welcome to our farm. Here are the people who make Wolfmoon a truly special place. My passion for sled dogs has been the driving force behind Wolfmoon Hounds & Horses for more than a decade. My mentors are Lloyd Gilbertson, Susan Butcher, and Ed and Amy Streeper. I started as the primary musher 1991-1995, and competed in the Beargrease 500, Race to the Sky 250 and 500, Midnight Run and UP200, MidMinnesota, Empire. Chronic neck and back injuries forced me to refocus my role so that now I am the mother and manager of the kennel and the new horse-breeding operation. My dream and goal is to breed a hound/husky that can run with the best teams in the world on the North American Open and Iditarod trails. I am close to realizing this dream, and this year our dogs are racing with championship teams and legendary mushers. Although our horse operation is much newer, I am developing a program of breeding in the tradition of the Bedouin tribes, because I believe that the Egyptian Arabian horse is a precious gift. Our mentors include Dr. Jody Cruz, Pat Hampton and Sandy Fedora. While this dream is in its infancy, it will be realized as my mares mature and produce exceptional offspring. I am a systems consultant for Wells Fargo, and have been in the computer and financial services industry for more than 25 years. I am a lifelong resident of Minnesota. To find out more about our farm or to find out about stud, sales or lease opportunities, please contact me. Happy Trails, Claire B. Seekins

Kelly Harris The primary trainer and musher for the sprint team, Kelly is a Los Angeles native who is living her dream of flying with the sled dogs. A musher for the past decade, she was introduced to sled dogs during a Kathleen Anderson, Wintermoon Sled Dog Adventures for Women trip in 1995. Through Kathleen, she was introduced to our kennel, and has been a friend and musher since. She is preparing for the upcoming sprint season when she will move up to the 10-dog race. Gary Gagnon Gary became involved with Wolfmoon as a handler in 1995. Today, he is not only a close friend and musher, but we consider him "family" and his mother, Bernice, is a mother to us all. (We love you, Bernice!) Gary's love of dogs, his family and God inspires the kennel. He and his wife, Erica, and their children, Camille, Thea, Lydia and Elijah, live in Duluth. He has extensive experience with owning and managing sled dog kennels. This year he will help Chris train and race the mid distance team.
